Success in Balance

Honest Riches?

November 19th, 2008

Well, I took the plunge. You should start seeing some changes to this site in the next few days or weeks (always seems like there is more to do than I have time). Those who have checked here from time to time know that Success in Balance with the rest of your life if a passion of mine. I think many misinterpret both “success” and “balance”. Even this last weekend my definition of these two was being refined….more on that later.

Anyway, I have been looking at an online program by Holly Mann called “Honest Riches” and it attracted me for several reasons. First the honesty. There were/are no outrageous claims and the process makes sense. So I bough the e-book. On first glance the thing that struck me is “I know most of this already”, but that’s actually a good thing as it shows the program is in line with what I am thinking. What I am hoping is that it will take what I already know and help me better focus/apply it.

Isn’t that the case with most of us? Think about it. You have probably ready many Time Management books, but it’s what you are able to apply that makes the difference. Anyway, wish me luck and check back later to read how things are going as well as to see how the site evolves….I have some new ideas :-)

This could be what I have been looking for!!

August 1st, 2006

I am pretty excited about this one. All the experts: Covey, Ziglar, Mackay, Peters…the list goes on and on. For less that $20 a month! And they have an affiliate program. So you can get what you believe in and promote what you believe in as well.

I don’t know about you, but I recognized most of the people on the list and I listen to them and always get something from what they say that I can immediately use it to make my life better.

And to make it even better, they have a 14 day FREE trial!! I plan on enjoying this for quite some time :-)

Opportunities I am exploring…

July 26th, 2006

As some readers might know, I have been looking at ways to suplement my income to help pay down student loans etc. Earlier I experimented with the Auto-Surf business and it didn’t work. Sure there are some that make it work, but it is very high risk. What I am looking for is something that I can build with minimum risk. For now, here are some things that I am using to host and promote my sites. My belief is that if it is something that you believe in, the rest will take care of itself :-)

Great hosting company. Incredible price, and oustanding support. I have never been disappointed!

These sites have free programs where you exchange your surfing for other people surfing your site. I am focusing on the free programs until something gets started.

Also, because I am using blogs as my mechanism, I am using these blog exchange programs as well:

I will keep you posted as things progress. If anyone has any insights feel free to let me know (paul @ successinbalance.com)

On hold….

February 3rd, 2006

Well, we have all heard the saying “if it seems to good to be true…”

Well that might be the truth for the auto-surf industry. One of the biggest players, 12dp, which I have participated in has had all its funds with StormPay frozen. Not fun as I am due two of my biggest payouts! I am not happy, but I did follow some advice we have all heard, “don’t invest more than you can afford to lose.” My family will not go hungry, but my hopes of paying off student loans and bills accumulated while in the Ph.D. program will be put on hold. But perhaps it will all work out. I will keep you posted. However for the time being I would not particiapte in any of the opportunities I identifed earlier :-(

Opportunities I am exploring

January 27th, 2006

I just updated the opportunities section with some opportunities I think have some potential. Sure there’s some risk, but I am not betting the farm. My goal is to see if I can take a little money and leverage it to make it quite a bit more. My plan is to document the journey here. So far I have not received any $, but it has only been a short time. I’ll keep you posted!
